Current Obsession - Louis Vuitton

*Disclaimer - I am not saying that I have the money to go out straight away and purchase all of any of these products. I am just simply sharing with my readers the designers products that I love and would love to own at some point. If you do not agree with designer products and are going to be offended by continuing to read this post then please do not continue to do so :) At the end of the day we are all entitled to our opinion and I won't be offended if you close the page now. Its up to you ...*

Hello everyone :) I hope you're all having an amazing weekend so far! The weather here in London hasn't been amazing today and although it is a little windy there has been a fair bit of sunshine - at least it isn't raining!!

As my frequent blog readers will know, my blog mainly consists of product reviews. However, I want to try and include a wide range of features that everyone would enjoy reading. As this is the Little Beauty Blogg the things I feature will of course be beautiful and this is why I want to start this new range of features with Louis Vuitton - eeeeeep!!

So, as many of you may or may not know (I have realised I say that quite a bit on here; I do apologise!) I love Louis Vuitton. I just think they're gorgeous and the history behind the brand just makes you appreciate how precious Vuitton items are!

I am a very very lucky girl because I actually own a Louis Vuitton Speedy 35 in the Monogram canvas print. This bag was purchased on the 29th of May 2012 and to be quite frank I LOVE IT! However, the issue I have regarding the untreated Vachetta leather - it is just so temperamental; you can't get it wet, use any hand creme and then touch the leather, spray any perfume/aftershave near the leather, touch the bag with anything greasy and because the leather is so pale it gets dirty so easily*. Even though I have said this I love my little Louis and I am so so protective of it .. This is why I am looking into getting another bag in the treated leather and canvas version (Deamier Ebene) or the leather version (Monogram Vernis) so that I can bash it around a bit more rather than protect it like it's the crown jewels! Although I still would be very protective of the other bags ...

As I have already said I love love love Vuitton and I just think it's so classy and elegant - a bit like myself ... Ooh I joke haha!! In all seriousness, I just love how prestigious the brand is and how amazing their quality is! Although, some Vuitton lovers would argue that the quality of the products are not what they used to be, I still know that they were last for many many many years if well looked after and they're such investment pieces - I would love to gather an amazing collection of designer handbags during my time on this earth and pass them down to my future little girls!

Anyway, I have already babbled on for far too long and I do apologise for doing so! This blog is going to be the first in the 'Current Obsession' series' and I just really wanted to feature Vuitton! Therefore, below is going to be a few pictures and descriptions of the items I have on my 'wishlist'.

Shall we contine first with the bags I am most likely to purchase sooner rather than later :) ?...

Neverfall MM/GM in Damier Ebene - N51105 £480.00/ N51106 £510.00

I never really used to be a huge fan of this bag. I was looking at it around the time I was deciding whether or not to get my Speedy and I just didn't think the bag was for me! I am a person who likes to either carry their bag in the crook of their arm of on one shoulder as a side bag. However, recently I have been seeing this bag everywhere! If any of you have ever been to London or do in fact live here and are aware of what the Louis Vuitton prints/styles are you will notice that pratically everybody has one and at the moment it seems to be the Neverfall. I don't like this bag because everyone else has it (I'm not one of those people who follows what the rest of the crowd is doing - I'm not a sheep!) I like it because seeing it on different people wearing different outfits and carrying it in different ways has really made this bag grow on me. The bag is literally shaped like a bucket and therefore would be perfect for carrying all of my books around in. I like the MM size but I think I would go for the GM because it is just that little bit bigger and I could use it for university as well as being used for travelling - especially when I am going home; I always seem to have a load of randoms in my bag!

What do Louis Vuitton say about the bags?
Neverfall MM - 'This adaptable bag in Damier canvas can be used as a tote with large storage space, or tightened by its side-laces to make a smaller city bag**.'
Neverfall GM - 'A large tote bag in Damier canvas, ideal for every occasion. Very agile, its shape and storage space can be adjusted by tightening the leather draw strings on each side. It looks great either way**.'

Personally I don't think that the bags look nice when they're pulled in and tightened as the shape they take on is completely different; I would wear it how it is pictured below...
Neverfall MM in Damier Ebene £410.00***

 Neverfall GM £510.00***

Speedy 35 in Damier Ebene - N41523 £460.00

This is the bag that I am most likely to purchase next as it is the treated version of my Monogram Speedy. I absolutely adore my other Speedy and this is why I would love to buy this one as well. You may be thinking that having two bags that are exactly the same but just different styles is a total waste of my money - maybe you're right; who knows? My justification for wanting this style as well is because it is a much more darker version and the leather is not as temperamental. Therefore, I could always use this bag in the winter time and not have to worry about any rain drops falling onto the leather and causing it to patina faster. This bag is also a lot less 'flash' if any of you are familiar with the Monogram print then you will know that is has LV all over it - this attracts some stalkers, in the small town I am originally from! I also love the Damier print because I think it would be perfect for winter time and the darker tones would look amazing with warm cosy winter clothes (although my Monogram Speedy looks stunning with anything!!)

What does Louis Vuitton say about the bag?

'The Speedy is an iconic Louis Vuitton design. Its simple lines and chic Damier Ebene canvas immediately appeal to women with an eye for fashion. The perfect bag for the city.'**

Now that I have shared with you the bags that I am seriously considering purchasing, should we have a look at my 'wishlist' items? ...

Zippy Wallet in Monogram Vernis leather - M91536/M93522 £515.00

Where do I start; I LOVE this purse!!!! I just think it is so so elegant and it would go perfect with the bag I eventually want to own (pictured further down). The colours that this purse is available in are just so gorgeous and vibrant. This really is such a stunning and eye catching piece and I would be honoured to pull this little beauty out of my handbag - in fact, I probably would walk around showing it off; it's that beautiful!! Of course, being a purple lover the purple'ish colours are the ones that jump out at me and I cannot make my mind up between 'Rouge Fauviste' and 'Amarante' - although I think 'Amarante' tops it for me!

What does Louis Vuitton say about the purse?

'Prepare to dazzle with the Zippy Wallet in gorgeous Monogram Vernis leather. A gorgous combination of superb functionality, generous space and an all-round zip'**

This purse is available in the normal canvas styles (Monogram, Damier Ebene and Damier Azure) but the Monogram Vernis leather is just so much more elegant. This purse is made of real leather and is huge inside. There really is room for everything and the all-round zip closure makes sure that nothing can fall out. I hate it when your purse falls open and coins are laying all over in the bottom of your bag - especially in a Speedy, they're like a black hole!

**Product details provided by Louis Vuitton:

- Eight credit card slots.
- Open compartment for bank notes.

- Zipped compartment for coins.
- Three large compartments for papers and passport.

- Two inside patch pockets.

Monogram Vernis leather Zippy Wallet in the colour 'Amarante' (M93522) £515.00***

Zippy Coin Purse in Monogram Vernis leather M91534/M93607 £275.00
Sometimes I think it is nice to just have a small purse especially when you only want to take the essentials out with you. Sometimes it just gets annoying having to carry everything around with you and it's nice to be able to only take money and some cards with you - I have so so many cards it is unreal; I currently have 18 in my purse!!! You may be thinking why would you spend £275.00 on a purse ... well as you will see below I have a dream bag and when I eventually get around to saving the money for this beauty I will want everything to match it ... therefore, I would have no way of escaping paying the large price tag! I think this purse is super cute and maybe if I ever get around to going and taking a look at the Zippy Wallet in the Monogram Vernis I will ask to also have a look at this Zippy Coin Purse and see which one I prefer - there is quite a substantial difference in price but ultimately, I think I would get more use out of the larger Zippy Wallet. Again I like the colours 'Rouge Fauviste' and 'Amarante' and I think 'Amarante' is the colour I would choose - for the bag, Zippy Wallet and Zippy Coin Purse.

What does Louis Vuitton say about the purse?

Compact yet extremely practical to use with a wide zipper closure, this multifunction coin purse, fashioned in stylish Monogram embossed patent leather, houses coins as well as cards and folded bills' **
** Product details provided by Louis Vuitton:

- Discreetly embossed Monogram Vernis leather, calfskin lining shiny golden brass pieces.
- Wide zipper closure.
- Four credit card slots.
- Two pockets for bills and reciepts.
- Two large coin compartments.
- One business card slot.

Aaaaaaaah, it just sounds so perfect!! I sure do have my eye on this gorgeous little coin purse! It will take a lot of saving but in the end I am sure it will be worth it!

Alma GM in Monogram Vernis leather - M91687/M93595 £1,410.00

Oh my gosh this is the bag!! I really cannot describe how much I love this bag! This is one of the Louis Vuitton bags that you do not see everywhere. I have seen it around a few times but it isn't as common as the Monogram canvas, Damier Ebene canvas and Damier Azure canvs prints. You may be thinking Elysia why would you pay that amount of money on a handbag!? All I can say is that I am slighty crazy! When I was purchasing my Speedy 35 at the New Bond Street Masion I noticed this bag just sitting there ever so pretty and it literally made weak at the knees - I realise this sounds exceptionally sad but handbags/purses and sometimes shoes are my weakness. Especially handbags and purses .. as you have probably already guessed by now! This is my ultimate Louis Vuitton bag (as I have already said above) and one day I will own it. As with the purses above, the same two colours have always caught my eye with this this bag and they are again 'Rouge Fauviste' and 'Amarante'. As much as I love 'Rough Fauviste' the colour I would choose is 'Amarante' - I just think it's so dark and luxurious! This is such a beautiful beautiful bag and again I would be honoured to introduce this to my collection ... One day though :)!!!!

What does Louis Vuitton say about this bag?

'Inspired by the shape invented in the 30's by Gaston Vuitton, the Alma GM is a classic of the house. Hand held, this bag is covered with Monogram Vernis leather and is closed with a padlock' **

I just think that this bag is so iconic, along with the Speedy. The shape is gorgeous and the finish of the Monogram Vernis is just wonderful! This is such an eye catching and elegant piece and worth every penny in my mind. When I was saying before that over the many many years of my life I want to establish a stunning collection of designer handbags that are pratical, beautiful and long lasting this is up there with the holy grail of handbags - I would even compare loving this bag as much as I love the Birkin by Hermes (another bag I would love to eventually own)

Well my gorgeous blog readers, this is all for todays feature. I hope you enjoyed reading it and looking at some beautiful Louis Vuitton pieces. I said at the start of this post that I was a HUGE fan of the brand but maybe now you will be able to see how much I am in love with some of their designs! As you may also be able to tell over many years I have a lot of saving to be done in order to afford these pieces but one day I will have them - although it will be many more years down the line!!

What do you think of my first 'Current Obsession' post? Have you enjoyed it or would you not like to see anymore of these featured again? Also, what do you think of Louis Vuitton? Do you like their designers or do you prefer another designer/high street brand?

If you are a huge Louis Vuitton fan then please feel free to get in touch with me or comment on this post with any questions you have - I am always willing to answer then if I am able to :) Please also feel free to email/comment with any questions you might have regarding my Monogram Speedy 35. Would any of my readers be interested on a review post of my bag? Or maybe a post of how to detect whether or not a Speedy is fake or genuine Vuitton? Just leave a comment and let me know!

I hope you have all had an amazing Saturday and I will see you soon with a new post :) Lots of love, Elysia xxxxxxxxxxxx

* You may be wondering why I bought such a temperamental bag anyway... The things I have mentioned do not in anyway mean that I don't like my Monogram Speedy because I absolutely adore it. I just wanted to mention those things to illustrate why I would like the get a Damier Ebene print next and why I also like the Monogram Vernis leather designs.
** All product descriptions and product details have been taken from the Official Louis Vuitton website http://www.louisvuitton.co.uk/front/#/eng_GB/Homepage

*** All prices for the products have been taken off the Official Louis Vuitton website http://www.louisvuitton.co.uk/front/#/eng_GB/Homepage and were correct at the time I published this blog feature - please note that Louis Vuitton never have a sale and there are a very limited number of online sellers (other than the official site). Any site that is claiming to sell official Louis Vuitton products at sale prices is a fake. Louis Vuitton do not pass their damaged/unsuitable items onto other compaies to sell at sale prices - they either destory them or sell them to staff at very knocked down prices ... if the price seems too good to be true then it is; its fake!!

E.L.F products that I absolutely HATE!

As I am at university and only have a small room, space is a little limited. Today I was having a mini sort out and came across some ELF products that I have never used. Instead of throwing them out straight away I thought I would take some photos of them, take some swatches and then feature a blog post on why I think they're truly awful!

I bought these products many months ago (probably in April) and I have never used them since. They are just stuffed away taking up room. I actually purchased them because a lot of people with beauty channels on YouTube were raving about the cheap make up brand. Having never tried any of their products, I thought I would make an order - what a total waste of money!

I understand that ELF is a cheap brand and therefore the products aren't going to be of the highest standard but I really did not expect them to be this bad!

Eyelid Primer - 'Sheer' £1.50*

I bought this eyelid primer obviously thinking it would at least do some good. Good, it was not! The colour is awful and the smell is quite literally foul. It really does smell cheap! At the end of the day I would rather spend a lot more and buy an eyeshadow primer that I know would work - such as the one by Urban Decay which has outstanding reviews! This product didn't even act as a smooth base for the eyeshadow to be applied on to. Instead, when you blinked all of the product collected in the crease of your eye - not much good at all. I DO NOT recommend this product!!

I think looks rather like concealer! I literally thought this would be colourless - I was obviously wrong!

Conditioning Lip Balm SPF 15 - 'Nice & Natural' £2.50*

I bought this product because I have really bad lips. They're always chapped and sore because I have the awful habit of licking them - I don't know about you, but I just hate my lips feeling all dry! I thought this product would keep my lips in gorgeous condition, protect them from the sun and add a gorgeous natural shimmer to them. On the website the colour I chose looks a nice natural light brown however in reality it is a little more of a mink colour (as you can see in the picture below). Not only do I not like the colour of this product I hate the texture of it. It isn't soft like I expected (I expected it to feel like a mixture between chapstick and lipstick - a bit like a lip butter) but it doesn't. It is so sticky on my lips and doesn't spread properly. It just looks horrid! The smell is also repulsive and it honestly smells like you're putting suncream all over your lips ... out of date suncream! I DO NOT recommend this product!

The colour of this just isn't very nice, in my opinion. Also, as you can see it does not apply very well and is more of an awkward smudge!

Eyeshadow Duo - 'Butter Pecan' £1.50*

I mainly bought this eyeshadow because at the time of purchasing I didn't really wear it much and I didn't want to pay stupid amounts on something I wouldn't wear. This due appealed to me because the brown looked a nice subtle. The lighter shade is just weird, to be honest. To me I think it is far too peachy in colour and just wouldn't look nice on the eyelid. The brown colour is okay and the colours are rather pigmented. However, they do not apply well and they do not stay on well. This is because they're too powdery and I found that you get clumps of colour in the same position. Of course, you want an eyeshadow that applies colour onto the eyelid evenly - this reminded me of coloured talc powder! I DO NOT recommend this product! Take a look at the photo below and see for yourself ...

As you can see in the photo above, the eyeshadow does tend to gather in the same place. It just won't apply evenly and I didn't like this or the colours at all!

Therapeutic Conditioning Balm - 'Blackberry Creme' and 'Strawberry Creme' £1.50* each

Again I bought these little lip products because I thought the colour of them looked really cute and they were only thin so I thought they would be perfect for slipping in my handbag and using frequently throughout the day to keep my lips moisturised and help them against getting chapped! However, the colour of them is not very nice at all. It looks like the colour of lipstick that you used to get in cheap childrens make up kits - not really a good look when you're 19! The smell is terrible and the purple colour makes you look as though you're either very cold or just quite simply dead. I DO NOT recommend this product!

Above: 'Blackberry Creme' and 'Strawberry Creme'

Not really the most flattering of colours when swatched are they!?

Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder - 'Luminance' £1.50*

I purchased this bronzing powder because on the website it looked really light and I thought it would work well as a highlighter. The colour is not one that you could ever apply to your skin - it literally looks like sand!!!! Not only does the colour look like sand, the product also looks like sand when applied. This is because like the duo eyeshadow the product doesn't apply evenly or smoothly! This bronzer just does not look flattering on the skin (as you will be able to see from the swatch I have included below). It really does look foul on the skin and I know that I keep saying this but it really does look like sand is on your face!! As you can probably tell, I DO NOT recommend this product!!

Now do you see what I mean by comparing this product to sand? It really is the colour of sand and it really does look like I have sprinkled sand onto my arm!!

Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF 15 - 'Pink Kiss' £1.50*

I bought this lip gloss because I liked the idea of it being 'super glossy'. The shade isn't quite barbie pink but it is rather pink. I wouldn't say that it was super glossy either and to be honest as soon as I opened the packet I was over whelmed by the awful smell! Eww, it stinks! I definitely would not be putting that on my lips ... The texture of the gloss is also too sticky and that is something I really dislike; especially as I have a side fringe - no girl likes their fringe to be stuck to their lips do they!? This lip gloss is applied with a slanted applicator but this isn't a good thing. The lip gloss doesn't apply smoothly and it applies all patchy and just doesn't look nice. Again, I DO NOT recommend this product!!

                                                        Talk about streaky application!!

Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 - 'Apricot Beige' £1.50*

I chose to buy this product because I have never ever used tinted moisturizer and I wanted to try some. Due to everyone giving rave reviews of ELF's products I thought I would try a tinted moisturizer from them. Due to being a particularly pale person, I chose tone 1 - Apricot Beige. Wait until you see the swatch below, you will not believe that this was meant to be tone 1!! On the website it says that this product is scented and smells like 'Sugar Orange' ... I just think it smells repulsive! It is far too sickly sweet and something that I for one would not like to smeer all over my face - I have sensitive skin and I definitely think this product would cause me some problems! Also, may I just add and re-stress the point that I ordered 'Apricot Beige' that was Tone 1 the lightest colour available ... I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT recommend this product especially if you're pale like myself, you just will not get a colour pale enough to match your skin tone!!

Does this look like a Tone 1 colour to you!? It mose definitely does not look like it to me! It looks VERY orange to me and I really would not dare put this onto my face!!

Can you believe how dark this tinted moisturizer is!? I always thought it was meant to be a product that was light! This was only a small swatch and it has made a total mess all over the wipe I was using!!

Shimmering Facial Whip - 'Spotlight' and 'Pink Lemonade' £1.50* each

I purchased these facial whips because I have always used blusher but I have never used highlighter. At the time of making my ELF order I was watching YouTube videos and many people were mentioning these facial whips - as I have said everyone was talking about ELF in a positive manner; why!? I have no idea!! I decided I would order 'Spotlight' to use as a highligter and 'Pink Lemonade' to try as a blusher. When these products arrived I tried them and instantly thought no no no! There was no way that I would ever apply any of these products to my face. The 'Spotlight' colour it too ghostly white and the 'Pink Lemonade' is far too pink - it is on the verge of being clown make up! I like a slight subtle hint of blusher and this was just far too in your face for my liking!! I WOULD NOT recommend this product to others ...

Above: 'Spotlight' Below: 'Pink Lemonade'

Tone Correcting Concealer - 'Apricot Beige' £1.50*

I purchased this product because I was looking for a nice concealer to use as a base under my foundation and face powder to try and achieve that flawless skin look. Again, I ordered the colour 'Apricot Beige' which was described as being fair. This was meant to be the palest colour available and when it arrived I was so so shocked at how orange the shade was! It is just as bad as the 'Apricot Beige' tinted moisturizer colour. I would not be able to wear this concealer under my usual make up because it really is orange orange orange! This product is also supposed to smell of 'Sugar Orange' but as I have already said this scent just smells disgusting! I WOULD NOT recommend this concealer ....

This shade is supposed to be 'Apricot Beige' which is described as being available for 'Fair' skin - All I can say is if you have fair skin like myself and do not want to look like a tangerine; do not purchase this!

The mess the product left on the wipe I was using - a big orange smudge!

Smudge Eye Sponge £1.50*

I ordered this smudging brush because I thought it would work well with the duo eyeshadow that I ordered from ELF. However, when the product arrived I was really dissapointed with it. Of course, I expected that the tip would be rather hard because it is designed to be used as a smudging tool but the tip was too hard to use. It literally felt as though I was rubbing a hard lump of something across my hand - I didn't even get to trying it on my eye with the eyeshadow because I hated that product and I hated this tool!!

 Total Face Brush £1.50*

I ordered this brush because I wanted to try applying my face powder with a large make up brush. As I have said with all of these products, I was unimpressed when it arrived. The brush fibres felt very hard and scratchy and when using the brush it kept loosing bristles which was really annoying. I only used this brush one time because it truly was horrible and I just did not like usuing it. The brush didn't hold product well, didn't glide across my face nice and just felt itchy. Again, I WOULD NOT recommend this brush to someone!

Well finally, we have come to end of tonights blog feature! I do apologise if you seem to like the ELF cosmetics brand; but as you can tell I really dislike it!! This feature does seem to be a bit of an ELF hating spree - which is something I don't normally do on my blog. Normally, I like most things I review. However, I cannot say anything nice about this brand - apart from the price? Although I don't even think that's a good thing because you definitely pay for what you get; low price is low quality in this case - which of course could only be expected because for prices between £1.50 and £2.50 these products were hardly going to be prestige!!

On the whole, I really would not recommend ELF cosmetics to anyone! Their products smell really bad, their colours say they're designed for fair/pale skin tones and they're not they are orange as orange can be (I would hate to see a shade that's designed for a medium skin tone - would it be as orange as a traffic cone maybe!?), their products do not apply well, their brushes are not good tools to have in your make up collection and yes their prices may be exceptionally low but their quality is reflected in the price - as I have said before low price = low quality! At the end of the day, I would just describe ELF's products as being a waste of money even though they are very low prices which makes them available to all budgets - my advise is to save your money and invest in a good quality product!

What do you think of the ELF brand? Do you hate their products as much as I do or do you really like their products and think they're good value for money? Either way, everyone is entitled to their own opinion :)

Lots of Love, Elysia xxxxxxxxx

* Please note that the reason this symbol is at the side of the prices is because I did not pay these prices when I purchased my order many months ago. I believe recently that ELF have increased their prices slightly and therefore I paid a little less. I cannot be sure how much I paid but I bought all the products out of my own money :)

Benefit 'Boi-ing' Industrial Strength Concealer

I'm just going to start this feature as I mean to go on ... I love this concealer! When it says it's industrial strength it really does mean it; it covers anything! I bought the shade 01'light' and it's perfect - not to dark, not to pale, not to orange, not to cakey; perfecto!

The staying power is amazing and as I have already said the coverage is wonderful! You could literally wear this concealer on its own as a foundation. To make things even better the staying power of this concealer is really good. It doesn't smudge or fall off your face half way through the day - bonus!

I bought this concealer from Debenhams and it was priced at £16.50. I didn't think this was bad because instantly the product just felt amazing on my skin. It didn't feel to heavy and it didn't just stay in one spot; I was able to blend it into my skin easily.

To be able to work with this concealer and use it in the best way possible you have to warm it up slightly - yes I know this sounds a little weird! I did this by simply holding the container in the palms of my hands and cupping them together for a few seconds and I prefer to apply the concealer with my finger having done so :).

The packaging of this Benefit product is so cute, girly and fun - I adore it! I have just one little problem with the packaging; the product is contained in a small circle container (as you can see below) and this is SO easy to fasten too tight! I often think that the lid isn't on tight enough and tighten it a teeny bit more; which annoying makes it go too tight - the line between the lid being on too loose and too tight is so fine; beware!!

Okay so when I said before that I loved this product I really do and I will definitely be buying it again! However, I feel that in order to give my blog readers a fully accurate review I need to give them the good and bad points of a product. Below are going to be two slight issues that I have with the Boi-ing concealer - these aren't big issues though because I still love this!

My first issue is regarding the way the product applies on the area above my nose/between my eyebrows. I am a person who doesn't have oily skin (my skin is normal yet sensitive) so normally products don't slide around on my face. Unfortunately, in this area the product just slides everywhere and I feel it doesn't apply as well as it does on the rest of my face - total shame I know! Now, this may just be that I have weird skin in that area or it may be the product ... Based on the fact that the concealer applies wonderfully on the rest of my face I think it's my weirdo skin!

My second issue regarding this product is the size of the pot; for £16.50 it is rather small (the pot contains 3 grams) and doesn't really last a long time! I have only had this product between 1 1/2 and 2 months and I predict if I carry on using it the way I do it will run out easily! If you use the product sparingly then this most probably won't be an issue and the product will last a lot longer. However, I always have bags under my eyes and rosy cheeks which are things I like to cover up very well! Therefore, the product not lasting a while is probably because I apply quite a bit!

Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to others and I will be re purchasing it again when I run out of the pot I am currently using! This product really is 'industrial strength concealer', it covers those little imprefections perfectly, isn't greasy, doesn't cause any spots/irritation, lasts really well and is reasonably priced!

What do you think of the 'Boi-ing' Industrial Strength Concealer by Benefit? Have you used it before or do you think it is over priced for what it is? What do you think of using a concealer that has amazing coverage - would you ever only apply it to where you need it and go eau natural?

I hope you're all having an amazing weekend and I be back with another blog feature very soon!

Cost effective jewellery cleaning!

This isn't something that I intended to feature on my blog. However, whilst cleaning my jewellery today I thought I would share this little tip with you :)

On the market today, there are so many jewellery cleaners on offer and to be honest I have never bought one of them. I just find you are able to clean your own jewellery in your own way and get much better results!

To create my own cleaner, I use a tiny  amount of washing up liquid, some disenfectant and some boiling water. The small amount of washing up liquid helps to clean the gold making it shiny and add sparkle and shine to diamonds. The use of the disenfectant and hot water is to sterilise things such as earrings ensuring that they are properly cleaned and any bacteria that is living on them is killed - after all, it is important to keep earrings very clean!

The items used don't have to be expensive. You don't have to use an expensive washing up liquid or disenfectant - you can use a supermarkets own brand if you wish! You probably won't even have to go out and buy any of the products because they're everyday household essentials; most people have washing up liquid and disenfectant in their kitchen cupboard!

The amount of time you soak your jewellery for is completely up to you and you can leave them over night or for 10 minutes :) Depending on how dirty your jewellery is/how shiny you want it will determine how long you soak it for :) I like to soak mine for quite a while and leave it in for around an hour or sometimes for longer. After soaking it in the washing up liquid, disenfectant and hot water I like to take the jewellery out and soak it again - this time just using boiling water! I find that this further cleans it and is amazing for cleaning earrings! This is going to sound a little discusting, but the amount of stuff this draws from them is shocking; it really does give them a thorough clean.

You may be thinking to yourself *Elysia you said that this post was about cost effective jewellery cleaning but all you have told us so far is how to do the cleaning*. Well my gorgeous little blog readers below are some pictures of the jewellery after I finished cleaning it ... I am very sorry that I didn't get a picture of the jewellery before hand. However, you can see from the pictures how sparkly it has become :D

My clean jewellery! As you can see the gold looks amazing, the diamonds are shining and the earrings look perfectly clean!

What do you think of my cheap yet very effective jewellery cleaning method? Is this something you would try or do you prefer to use a specific gold/silver cleaner? Would you like to see a feature on how I clean my silver Pandora jewellery?

I hope you're all having a wonderful evening and tomorrow is Friday which means that is isn't long until the weekend - wooo!!

NOTD - Chanel 541 'Tentation'

Good evening my beautiful blog readers :) As you can see todays blog feature is going to be a NOTD. I have decided to do one of these posts as I love reading them on other bloggers sites and because I love painting my nails.

Recently I have purchased some gorgeous Chanel nail polishes and introducted them into my ever expanding collection! I like the look of these nail polishes and they're available in some beautiful rich looking colours - there were so many I wanted to buy but I had to limit myself, obviously.

Today I have used 541 'Tentation' by Chanel which is a gorgeous bright pink with a slightly metallic undertone of purple. This is only very subtle and isn't majorly obvious - it just adds a wonderful shine.

As you can see in the picture above, this colour is really really nice and it applies in a good way. The brush isn't too thick and this means you can be really precise with your application and not make a mess all over your nail. The brush also holds enough nail varnish to enable you to get a good layer applied :) I really like this nail varnish and I think it looks pretty complimentary against my pale skin tone (as pictured below)

I apologise for my wonky fingers!

To achieve this look I applied a base coat of clear nail varnish (this is a must because if you don't apply this 'Tentation' leaves your nail a slightly pink colour) and two good even coats of the colour. The drying time wasn't the quickest I have ever encountered but it wasn't bad :) I am happy with the way it looks after applying the two coats but if you wish to apply more then it is of course up to you!

Overall, I am really pleased with the way this nail polish looks on my nails and I know I am going to be wearing this colour a lot throughout winter - its perfect to add a bit of colour into those cold rainy days! The way this polish applies is lovely and I definitely will be buying more polishes from the Chanel range. I just think you can tell when a nail polish is slightly more expensive - it just looks more shiny on the nail and the colour is rich and really vibrant.

The price of this nail polish was £18 for a 13ml bottle; a price which I don't think is bad at all. As you can see from the picture below the packing is really really nice and is just so elegant and sophisticated - what more do you expect from Chanel!?

What do you think of this NOTD feature, would you like to see some more? Have you used the Chanel nail polishes before? I have heard/read a lot of positive things about them and I am very impressed! What do you think of 541 'Tentation'? Is it a colour you would wear or do you think the Chanel polishes are too over priced?

Hope you're having a lovely Wednesday evening, lots of love Elysia xxxxxxxxxxx

Bourjois Intuitive Liner

As you may or may not be aware, Clairns have relased a new concept eyeliner for their 2012 A/W collection. This new design eyeliner is called the '3 dot liner' and to be honest at first I thought it sounded super weird!

The eyeliner uses a tip that has 3 points and actually looks like a felt tip. I was really interested in trying this product out after reading abou it on FleurDeForce's blog but I didn't want to pay for something I thought would't work.

As I have already mentioned, Clarins have recently introduced the 3 dot liner to their A/W 2012 collection and it is using a design that has never before been released. When I discovered that this product was priced at £20 and was only limited edition, I began my search for a cheaper drug store dupe ...

Hallelujah, I found the product! This Intuitive Liner by Bourjois is an amazing drugstore dupe for the expensive Clarins product! It uses exactly the same kind of triple point applicator and leaves no tell tale signs that it isn't an expensive make up product (as pictured below).

I really liked this product and to be honest it was cheap! I found it in my local Superdrug and it was priced at £6.99 which isn't bad considering the real deal would set you back by £20 and won't be available to buy forever. The packaging (as you can see below) is black with white writing and the packaging is rather slim so won't take up loads of room in your make up bag :)

I'm not going to lie. When I first heard about the Clarins product I didn't think it would look good at all. I thought it would make you look like you had some form of black spotty rash on your eyelid so I was reluctant to spend £20 on something I thought would look awful. I also thought you application would be really hard but I was really pleasantly surprised :)

Applying the eyeliner was really easy. You just dot the eyeliner close to your natural eyelashes and instantly they look fuller and your eye looks more defined - pretty wonderful right? The line that is created isn't too thick and therefore this eyeliner is perfect to use along with eyeshadow.

The applicator (as pictured below) is rather fine and looks like a felt tip. It is also quite wet but doesn't smudge on the eyelid. The look created is smooth, sleek and really flattering - especially, if you have blue eyes! I bought this delightful Bourjois product in the colour black (Noir 02) and I really am impressed with the colour. Sometimes liquid eyeliners can be watery and lacking in colour. However, this one is perfect and the colour is a true black which also means that it stays on all day and doesn't smudge - a real plus point; no one wants to have panda eyes due to a smudged eyeliner!

Overall, I was really impressed with the Bourjois dupe of the Clarins 3 dot liner. The product was really easy to apply, looked amazing, defined my eyes, didn't smude, lasted all day and only cost £6.99 - WOW!! As you may be able to tell, I really like this product and I would definitely recommend it to you all! I love it so much I am thinking of buying the genuine Clarins 3 dot liner.

So far, I have only included pictures of the product itself and if you're anything like me you will want to see some pictures of what the product looks like on. Therefore, for you (my gorgeous blog readers) I have included some photographs of my eye before applying the Bourjois Intuitive Liner, after applying it and after mascara application ....

                                                   Before the Bourjois Intuitive Liner
                                                   After the Bourjois Intuitive Liner
After the Bourjois Intuitive Liner and mascara

I hope you all enjoyed todays review on a perfect drugstore dupe for a highend make up product! What do you think of the new concept eyeliners that use the triple point applicator? Have you tried the Clarins 3 dot liner or did you opt for the Bourjois verion? Comment and let me know :)
