Bath and Body Works 'PocketBacs' - Haul

I wouldn't say that I am obsessed with keeping my hands clean at all times, but I do like to be able to freshen them up. Personally, I would consider something such as an antibacterial hand gel as a handbag essential. Whenever I'm out and about I like to know that I can freshen up my hands at any opportunity. I'm due to be going back to uni soon and as many of you will know I study and live in London during term time. This means I use the tube, frequently. Let's face it, the tube is absolutely disgusting at times and is like a breeding ground for germs - coughs, colds, sickness bugs, runny noses and goodness knows what else is all festering underground. As soon as I leave the tube station, I like to stand to one side and apply some hand gel. I know that some people argue that hand gels don't actually sanitise your hands and kill the germs that are living on them but that doesn't bother me. Despite some peoples cynical approach to hand sanitisers, I like to think they do work and using one puts my mind at rest. I feel relatively satisfied that until I can properly wash my hands they're clean. Until I can get to a tap, hand gel will suffice!

If you live in America then being able to pop into a Bath and Body Works shop is pretty standard for you. However, here in the UK we are not fortunate enough to have a Bath and Body Works. I believe that there may have been one in the UK at some point many many years ago but unfortunately stores closed because demand was not rife enough! If us Brits want something from Bath and Body Works we either have ask a very kind favour of an American friend, go to America ourselves or buy from eBay. Yes, British beauty and hand sanitiser fans, you heard it Bath and Body Works products are available on eBay!

My usual hand sanitiser is either the Soap and Glory 'Hand Maid' (review here) or one of the Carex ones. However, neither of these gels compare to the offerings of the Bath and Body Works 'Pocket Bacs'. You name a flavour/smell, Bath and Body Works do it. They do every smell ranging from Pumpkin, to fresh picked apples, strawberries, numerous different berry smells, to champagne and even the smell of cookie dough!

I bought these around 6/7 weeks ago on eBay and they were priced between £1.99 and £2.89 plus they all had free delivery. I didn't buy them from just one seller because a lot of sellers had sold out of their stock. However, if you search for these via UK only sellers there are a lot of people to choose from. I know, I went a bit crazy and picked up 19 but I really can't resist. You can also get a wide variety off these super cute holders that can be attached to a handbag or your pocket. I picked these up for £2.00 each again with free delivery.

I'm just gutted that these aren't as cheap as they are in the USA; they're currently on offer at 5 for $5!! Despite them being more expensive, I know that I will be buying many more when these ones run low! I just wish Bath and Body Works would come to the UK again!

What do you think of the Bath and Body Works 'Pocket Bacs'?
Do you love them as much as I do?

Liz Earle Skincare offer NOT to be missed - 24 hours ONLY!

Hello my fellow beauty fanatics! Today was my first day back at university and I am now officially a big third year! Hoorah, only one more year to go after this one until I hopefully graduate! For those of you wondering, I'm doing a four year course. I'm not actually feeling 100% today as I just keep getting really warm and generally feeling a bit rubbish so today's post isn't going to be a long one.

A few hours ago, I received an email from Liz Earle that excited me! Now I don't mean to harp on about the cult classic that is Cleanse and Polish but I couldn't not let you all know about the amazing offer that Liz Earle are having for 24 hours only!

For £9.50, you can get a 100ml bottle of the infamous Cleanse and Polish along with two of Liz's pure muslin cloths. This is an offer not to be missed and is great value for money! The offer is running on their website for all customers and in the Liz Earle stores when you buy your first ever bottle of Cleanse and Polish. It only has to be your first time buying it if you're buying in store. Don't hang around though beauty lovers because this offer is only available until 10am on Tuesday the 24th of September - tomorrow morning!

Photo screen shot'ed from the Liz Earle website here

If you're wanting to try Cleanse and Polish for the first time or are a dedicated C&P fan, this offer is the one for you. This 100ml bottle costs the same as what a 50ml bottle with only one muslin cloth would usually cost you. If you can't decided whether or not to finally try this cult cleanser, I shared my initial thoughts and feelings on the product in my last post here .

I have tweeted and Instagram'ed about this offer and many other beauty lovers
are taking advantage of it. Are you going to make an order? I know I have!

Liz Earle 'Cleanse & Polish' - First Impressions

If you're into your makeup or skincare then I'm pretty sure that you will have heard of the Liz Earle 'Cleanse & Polish'. This is a cult cleanser that virtually every man and his dog has tried and tested. Liz Earle uses naturally active ingredients and the formula that is used for 'Cleanse & Polish' today is the same as the one that has been used since 1995.

A few years ago, when I was way too young to appreciate good skin care, I received a large bottle of 'Cleanse & Polish' for christmas off of my auntie and I had no idea what on earth I was supposed to do with it. I didn't really wear much makeup as I was only just beginning to experiment so didn't appreciate something as wonderful as this. Instead of using it, I placed it in a box and forgot about it. Whilst I was sorting things out for moving back to university, I came across my old makeup box and inside were two of the Liz Earle pure muslin cloths. They had never been used before so I gave them a wash and used them with the cleanser I was using a few weeks ago. It's safe to say I fell in love and decided that I needed to actually try the 'Cleanse & Polish' once and for all.

For those of you who don't know what this product is, it's a hot cloth cleanser. I know, it sounds kind of complicated but trust me it isn't. You take between one and two pumps and apply it onto your face with your makeup on. You massage this in and the product will break your makeup down. Once you're all massaged in, you take the pure muslin cloth and run it under water that feels hot to the touch. Don't go running it under boiling water because you'll only end up hurting your hand and your face. Once you've applied the hot water onto your cloth, you ring it out so it's damp begin wiping the product off of your face using circular motions. As well as removing the cleanser and the makeup from your face, the muslin cloth will give your face a light exfoliation and leave it feeling super soft. When you're all done taking the product off, run the cloth under cold water and wipe it over your face. This just makes sure that your pores are closed and don't stay open.

So far my thoughts and opinions on the 'Cleanse & Polish' are that it is:

- Quick and easy to use.
- Effective and removes all traces of makeup from the skin.
- Okay to be used on the eyes to remove eye makeup. However, those with sensitive may not be able to use this on them every use.
- Nicely packaged.
- More affordable than I thought it would be. The 50ml Starter Pack (product + 1 muslin cloth) cost £9.25 and the small tube was a complimentary gift. However, you can pick up a 15ml tube and muslin cloth for as little as £3.25!!
- Leaves your skin feeling super soft.
- Can cause slight break outs. Due to this product removing all of the dirt that's within your skin and giving it a damn good clean, it can cause your skin to temporarily break out.
- Smells rather minty/herbal.
- Good value for money as a bottle/tube comes with either one or two muslin cloths depending on the size you order.
- Gentle enough to be used morning and night everyday.
- Suitable for all skin types.
- Relatively long lasting as a little goes a long way.

The 30ml tube of 'Cleanse & Polish' is something that everyone gets sent when they order from Liz Earle. I love the fact that whenever you make an order, you get sent a complimentary tube of this cult cleanser and small muslin cloth. It shows that they value peoples custom; especially as this size tube sells for £5.50. Although this cleanser has slightly broken me out on my chin I don't think it's anything serious and is just my skin reacting to the deep clean that this product gives. I have enjoyed using this product so much that I previously bought the limited edition Grapefruit and Patchouli one that comes with two muslin cloths so I can't wait to try that out. I shall of course, be reviewing both products in full in the near future!

Have you ever tried the Liz Earle 'Cleanse & Polish'? What do you think of it?

The Little Beauty Blogg's 1st birthday! *GIVEAWAY* - CLOSED!

Hello everyone! Wow this week has been super busy for me. I was away job training in another area of London from Monday to Wednesday and this weekend I have been working none stop. I have never talked about my job on here before but in case you're wondering I work for my University. There are a lot of people due to start their course again soon so this weekend has been insanely busy! However, it has been really fun!

I don't want this post to get super duper soppy and all reflective in an emotional way but I seriously cannot believe that it was a year ago today that I wrote my first proper blog post on the Little Beauty Blogg! I did actually write a post on here on the 14th of September 2012 but that was just saying I had changed my blog location. I thought it was only right that I classed today as being my actual blog birthday because it was a year ago today that I wrote my first ever proper post! If you'd like to read it (and most probably cringe) you can do so here.

Image from We Heart It & edited by me.

When I started blogging, a year ago today, I never imagined that I would have readers and a blog that I am this proud of. Everybody who reads and follows this blog is super amazing! There isn't a day that goes by where I don't feel proud of the Little Beauty Blogg! Being able to express myself on the internet and write about what I love is such a wonderful thing to be able to do and it really wouldn't be possible without all of you amazing people who follow me. I know that blogging isn't just about the amount of followers someone has but knowing that people read and comment on your blog is such a lovely feeling! I always try and write posts that I think you guys will enjoy and I absolutely love interacting with you all!

I actually started blogging last summer when I was home from university and bored. I had been watching YouTube videos for quite some time and although I didn't read many blogs (I only read the blogs that my favourite YouTube'rs had) I wanted to start my own! I started blogging with the belief that no one would ever read my blog and it would be something I'd look back on in many years to come. However, people started reading and I couldn't believe it - my little slice of the internet interested someone other than myself - WOW!

Due to being so thankful to you all and wanting to celebrate my first year of blogging, I wanted to hold a giveaway for you all! This giveaway is only a small one but it's been carefully thought out and I think you will all really like the prizes I have bought for you.

InStyle Magazine - October 2013

I know that you have probably seen a lot of this magazine featured on beauty blogs and I'm sorry if you're sick of the sight of it but I couldn't help but post this quick feature today because there may be beauty fanatics out there who haven't seen this amazing freebie and want to try it!

To be fair, I don't usually go for the fashion magazines as I'm more into my trashy celebrity gossip reads. However, when I see a freebie that is as amazing as this one, I cannot pass up the opportunity to try it. No matter what the magazine is, if the freebie is worth it, I'll buy.

There is one heck of a lot of hype within the beauty community about the Philip Kingsley 'Elasticizer' and many people swear by it as being their holy grail hair product. I have wanted to try it for quite some time now but have never gotten around to picking it up. When I noticed this issue of InStyle magazine whilst out shopping, it's safe to say I got a little bit excited. With the October issue, you get a 40ml sample tube of the super hyped Philip Kingsley 'Elasticizer' that retails for around £8. When you consider that the magazine itself is only £3.90, I think that this is a damn good deal.

This product is used as a pre-treatment and is applied to the hair and left on for between 10 and 20 minutes. You simply apply it, pop on something to hold your hair in place such as a towel or shower cap, leave it to soak in and then rinse the product off with whatever shampoo you wish to use. Although the back of the tube recommends you use a Philip Kingsley one, you most probably don't have to.

This pre-treatment is suitable for all hair types and is supposed to give your hair more elasticity, make it more manageable, adds shine and bounce. Sounds pretty good, right? I shall most definitely be reviewing this in the near future and I just hope that it's as amazing as other people say it is.

Have you picked up Octobers issue of InStyle? What do you think
of the Philip Kingsley 'Elasticizer'?

Vaseline Limited Edition 'Paint The Town' #3

As many beauty fans and lip balm fanatics will know, Vaseline bring out a limited edition tin every year. It's usually around the beginning of September and is exclusive to Selfridges. I don't know about you but whenever I see a beauty product along with the words 'Limited Edition' I'm all over it! I feel like because it's limited edition if I don't get it right away everyone else might buy it and then it will sell out and I won't be able to get hold of it. It's a sad thought process I know but that's the way my mind works!

If you're a frequent Twitter user and follow lots of other beauty bloggers then you may have noticed that a few of them were sent some clues as to what this years limited edition flavour was going to be. I can't actually remember what the clues were but I don't think they were extremely obvious as to what this years tin actually was.

Anyway, enough of my rambling ... This week, the new 'Paint The Town' Vaseline was released and I went to Selfridges to pick some up on Friday. I also picked up some things from MAC but shhh it's our little beauty secret! At the moment, the new Vaseline is only exclusive to Selfridges so it isn't readily available in the UK. However, it is being released nationwide mid September so should be available in your local supermarkets, Boots, Superdrug and the rest from then on. It is priced at £3.49 and if you don't have a Selfridges near you and feel as though you can't wait a little while longer you can buy it from

I have to say that when I found out that Vaseline's latest limited edition offering was a red lip tint I was a little excited. I have a really pale skin tone and I am really getting into red lip balms at the moment. I'm not quite brave enough to go all out on a red lipstick but I thought a lip tint would be a good alternative. I headed straight to Selfridges, excited!

I love the packaging of this! Like most Vaseline's, it comes in a round tin and is perfect for throwing in your makeup bag or handbag. At first I thought that the red tricking down looked like blood but upon closer inspection it became clear that the red was highlighting the black bottom area which is shaped into buildings. As though the town it being painted red - clever huh? I like the name of this Vaseline. I think sometimes we assume that Vaseline is a boring product but this makes it sound really special and really rather classy. 'Paint The Town' - I like it!

As I have previously said, I had a lot of hope for this product and I was slightly let down by it. I assumed that because it was a lip tint made by Vaseline it would be rather pigmented but in a moisturising balm kind of way. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of pigment or tint to this product at all. However, this doesn't bother me because I think that this would be a perfect product to use when you just want to give your lips a subtle slightly red glow. If you're in school and aren't allowed to wear makeup or are just breaking into the world of red lips, you're likely to love Vaseline's latest offering. The only thing I dislike about this product is the smell! I just find it awful; a mixture of plain petroleum jelly (you know that weird burning smell) and a barely there cherry. The smell reminds me of why I dislike Vaseline and I was hoping that because this is supposed to be a 'lip tint' it wouldn't have the signature smell but unfortunately it did!

What do you think of 'Paint The Town' ? Have you bought it?
Do you plan on trying it?

Charlotte Tilbury - New Brand ALERT!

So as you all know, this week I spent some time in London with family and on Monday we went to Oxford Street. Although we bought no where near as much as we normally did and zoomed around the shops, we had a pretty successful trip. My nanna wanted to go into Selfridges to get some Christmas bits and I'm so glad she did! Of course, visiting Selfridges was the perfect excuse to visit the designer shoe galleries and Christian Louboutin in particular. Just like any other beauty lover, I cant go into Selfridges without visiting the beauty hall.

When walking through the beauty haul and looking around at all of my favourite brands, I noticed a big Charlotte Tilbury section. Of course, I ran straight over. The stand was really really busy because the collection had only launched that day so there were lots of people asking questions and generally looking around. The stands were made even more busy because Charlotte was there herself. It's safe to say that I had a little fan girl moment and said to my mum and auntie 'oh my god, she's here!!'. They looked at me like I was an absolute fool because they had no idea who I was going on about when I said 'it's Charlotte Tilbury. This is HER collection!'

If you're a beauty blogger, you probably know who Charlotte is and know that she has just launched her own collection after planning it for years. The stand was really busy so I didn't bother looking at the makeup as I thought I would check it out online and then go back in store and look at the particular things that interest me. The makeup counters and packaging of the products is gorgeous and has a very vintage look about it. Personally, I think that it looks rather Gatsby; very chic!

The night before going shopping, I noticed that Charlotte tweeted about a makeup bag that she had launched as part of her collection. She gave details saying that the first 30 people who were there and bought one would receive a little pot of her cream 'Charlotte's Magic Cream' and would also be able to get their bag signed by her. I thought that the makeup bags would sell out because the previous one that she launched for charity and had celebrities' lipstick kisses on the back sold out super duper quickly so I was over the moon when one of the lovely sales assistants told me that they still had some left. Unfortunately, I wasn't one of the first 30 people to get one because it turns out that people actually queued outside Selfridges to get there first but I'm not bothered because I managed to get the makeup bag I wanted.

The bag is made of canvas and I absolutely love the quote that's on the front of it. I definitely think that the quote is what made me need this makeup bag; it's just so empowering. I love that the other side of the bag has the lipstick kisses on it and the Charlotte Tilbury is a rose gold colour which is really unusual but really really nice. The zipper is gold and is really smooth to do and undo. I also like the fact that this bag opens right up so if you're one of those women who always looses stuff inside her makeup bag and can never find anything this ones for you; you'll never need to faff around again! I think the £15 price tag for this makeup bag is really reasonable.

I cannot believe that when I came out of Selfridges and went onto Twitter, Wayne from GossMakeupArtist had posted a picture of his big massive receipt from all the things he had bought from Charlotte's new line! I'm gutted, I must have just missed him! If you would like to see more detailed swatches on evetything from the collection, you can see some amazing first impressions videos on his channel here. You can also buy the collection online and in store from Selfridges and from

Have you picked anything from this new makeup collection?

August Haul!

I cannot believe that we are already in September! August seems to have flown by but I think that was because I was busy preparing for moving back down to London. I apologise for this haul being a few days late but I moved back down on the 31st of August and I spent a bit of time with family fun in London before they headed back home and left me all alone in the big smoke. Okay so that was a bit of an over exaggeration, I'm not 100% alone; I have people down here for me. I also have to go to away for a few nights in a few nights in a few days for some job training which should be fun and a great experience so September looks as though it's going to be a very busy month for me!

A lot of people say to me that my hauls are always really big but that really isn't intentional. I'm from a family that likes to shop and when I'm home I stock up on things I am going to need for when I'm away. When I'm in London, I take advantage of the shops. When you're from a small town in Northern England and you encounter Oxford Street, if you're a shopaholic, you feel as though you have died and gone to shopping heaven. I often find it hilarious but also a huge compliment when I see in my stats that people have typed into their search engine 'London shopping blog', 'shopping blog' or something along those lines. These posts are not meant to be me bragging about what I buy or anything like that. I love interacting with you guys about what we have all been buying and shopping hauls are amongst my favourite things to both read and watch.

Of course, as soon as they were released here in the UK, I had to pick up the new Maybelline Baby Lips! I was actually online ordering these first thing on the morning they were released (kinda sad I know). Anyway, I shall be reviewing these super hyped lip balms in the near future but until then I have previously posted a quick post sharing my initial thoughts on the Baby Lips. If you would like to, you can read that post here

I don't normally read this kind of magazine. I'm more into my trashy celebrity gossip ones but I couldn't resist the free gift that came with the latest edition. I have never tried Bumble & Bumble before but have heard amazing things about their products. As soon as I seen that the B&B Thickening Spray was the free gift I was sold. Paying £4 for a decent sized sample of a product that's worth much more is pretty good going.

I have heard so many other beauty bloggers talking about how amazing coconut oil is so I thought that I would finally give it a try. Finally, I picked up this eye roll on from Simple because I have been upping my skincare regime lately. You apply it using the roller ball applicator and it feels really soothing. I shall definitely be reviewing this soon for you all.

Fragrance Direct

I don't think I need to say much about this site other than it's wonderful. super cheap and just amazing in general. I'm not going to harp on about the things I picked up too much as you can see them in my latest Fragrance Direct haul here and in a NOTD feature here. If you're looking for a beauty or fragrance bargain, check out Fragrance Direct as you could make a huge saving!

This caused some confusion in haul that I have linked above so please note

that I DID NOT get the Nail Envy (3rd from the left) from Fragrance Direct -
they don't sell Nail Envy. The only bottle of Nail Envy I got was in the Miniatures
set that is pictured below.

Home Bargains

Admittedly, this isn't usually a shop that I go into a lot. It's usually just full of absolute rubbish but for some bizarre reason I decided I would go in. Boy am I glad I did! The amount of bargains I picked up was unreal and I most definitely raided the beauty aisle. I picked up everything from Simple, to Neutrogena to Garnier and the most expensive item came in at a bargain price of £3.99. Who can resist a beauty bargain? I know that I certainly can't. I even went in a second time to make sure I was stocked up.

Sally's Hair and Beauty

I finally managed to pick up all five of the nail varnishes that are part of the the new OPI Couture De Minnie collection that was released earlier this summer. I didn't actually know that this collection was released, until I randomly found it on Google. As soon as I seen it, I was sold and headed straight to my local Sally's. Unfortunately, the one in my town isn't a very big store and they only stock 3 of each colour which is a little bit pointless because they are always sold out! It took me three separate trips to pick up all of the colours but it was so worth while. The collection is quite simply stunning!

It seems as though I have been shopping at Next one hell of a lot over the past few months. There is just something about Next that I love - I think it's the quality of their clothing. I have been starting to prepare for winter and the items I have picked up are definitely going to be perfect for when it starts getting colder. If there's one thing that's certain about me, whatever the season, cardigans play a huge part of my wardrobe. I can't wait to pair these shirts with one of these chunky cardigans or a nice blue chunky cable knit jumper!

I was a bad blogger and didn't take pictures of these

two cardigans! I have to say, the blue one is much much
thicker than it looks on here. Both the cream and blue one are
really heavy knits and are absolutely lovely! I love them!

Liz Earle

I recently found some brand new and unused muslin cloths that I had stashed away from many many Christmas's ago. I had been bought some Liz Earle products many years ago when I was most probably too young to understand skincare and what the products were even used for. I finally decided that I would take the plunge and try the cult cleanser that is Cleanse & Polish. I opted for the £9.25 50ml pump starter kit that came with the 50ml Cleanse & Polish and one full sized muslin cloth. It's also really nice that with every order you make, Liz Earle send out a free 30ml tube of Cleanse & Polish and a small muslin cloth worth £5.50. I shall most definitely be reviewing this product properly in the near future!

Dunelm Mill

I know that these kind of items are completely love it or hate it but I happen to love it. There's something about a sheep skin rug that I adore. As soon as I came across a big pile of these I went straight over and started stroking them. Of course, I looked a total doughnut but no one noticed my strange moment as a children straight towards them and landed on the rugs stroking them. It was so cute, if not a little strange. I went for the purple one as I felt it would go better in my new room and I am super happy with it. It looks amazing!

Bath and Body Works - eBay

For as long as I can remember, I have been amazed with these American handbag staples. I have watched so so many YouTube videos where people have either been showing what they have picked up from their recent trip to the USA or they have been Americans showing what's in their handbags. The huge range of colours is super appealing and I have gone a little crazy buying these cute mini sanitisers from eBay. I go through hand sanitiser really quickly and although I don't need as many as I actually have picked up I'm 100% not sorry because I love them - haha! I just with B&BW would come to the UK so we can get the amazing deals that they offer in the USA - 5 anti bacs for $5! Amazing! Although sadly they're not this cheap from eBay sellers.

I hope that you have all had a wonderful August and congratulations to any readers who
picked up their A Level and GCSE results last month and are due to be starting
college/sixth form or university within the next few days!
